What do you get with every website?

Fast on a phone
Every page is tested against Google's 2.5-second target before launch, and you get the scores at handover.
A page for each area you work in

Google connected on day one
Search Console, analytics and a sitemap set up at launch, with access in your name.
Yours to keep
Your domain is registered with you as the owner, and you're an owner of your Google Search Console. If you move on, your domain and your Google data go with you.
A fixed price
Quoted from a written page list before work starts. No hourly billing.
Someone who picks up
Questions go to the person who built the site, on 02 4016 8795.
Changes when you need them
We build on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify or a hand-built site, whichever suits you. Edit it yourself, or have us do it on the care plan.

How fast are Newcastle web designers' own websites?

Every web designer says their sites are fast. So on 30 October 2026 we tested the homepages of the 10 web design businesses on Google's first page for "web design newcastle".

6 of 10
took longer than 2.5 seconds to show their main content. That's Google's target.
4 of 10
scored 90 or more out of 100, which Google's testing tool rates as good.
0.9 MB to 11.6 MB
was the range of page sizes. The heaviest homepage was about 12 times the size of the lightest.

That was on a desktop test with a fast connection. Phones usually do worse. Speed also had nothing to do with the platform: 8 of the 10 ran on WordPress, and they scored anywhere from 55 to 100. How a site is built matters more than what it's built on.

Scores move a little from one test to the next, so we ran each homepage three times and used the middle result. We test every site we build against the same 2.5-second target before it goes live, and you get the scores at handover.

How does a website get built?

  1. A 15-minute call

What you do, where you work, and what the site needs to do for you.

  2. A written plan

The page list, the area each page targets, and the fixed price. Nothing starts until you say yes.

  3. A draft you can click through

On a private link, on your own phone, before anything goes live.

  4. Launch and handover

Domain connected, Google set up, logins handed over, and a walkthrough of how it all fits.

Questions people ask first

How much does a website cost in Newcastle?

A small site of up to five pages is from $830. A business site of up to twelve pages, with a page for each area you work in, is from $1,740. Hosting, updates and backups are from $49 a month on the care plan. We're not registered for GST, so there's no GST on top. You get a written fixed price before any work starts.

What should every website include?

Your phone number on every page, the services you offer, the suburbs you work in, a price or a "from" price, real photos of your work, a short contact form, and pages that load quickly on a phone. Those are the things a customer looks for before they call.

Is there a 3 second rule for websites?

Not an official one. Google's own target is that the main content of a page shows within 2.5 seconds. We test every site against that before it goes live.

How long does a website take?

Most small sites go live 2 to 4 weeks after the go-ahead, and bigger sites 4 to 8 weeks. It depends on the job, and your quote gives the exact time. The usual hold-up is content: photos and the details only you know. We send a list of what we need on day one so nothing waits.

Do I own the website?

Yes. The domain is registered with you as the owner, which is what the .au domain rules require when someone registers it for you. You're also set up as an owner of your Google Search Console, so you keep access to your Google data even if you leave us. Every login is handed over at launch. If your site is on WordPress or hand-built, the site itself can move with you too.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes, if you'd like to. We build on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify or a hand-built site, whichever suits you. If you want to make your own changes, we'll pick one that's easy to edit and show you how at handover. Or leave it to us on the care plan.

Will my site show up on Google?

It will be built so Google can find, read and list every page, with a page for each area you work in. Where it ranks depends on how many other businesses chase the same searches: a plumber in Newcastle has more competition than a dog groomer in Medowie. You get an honest view of what to expect before you sign anything.

Do you only work with Newcastle businesses?

No. We work with businesses in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Port Stephens, the Hunter Valley and the Central Coast. The studio is on King Street in the city, and the first meeting can be there, at your place or on a call.
